  • Likes to run & jump around

Impulsive

People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can be impulsive and can act before thinking. Symptoms of impulsiveness can include:

  • Struggles to wait
  • Interrupts you regularly
  • Does things without permission
  • Pushes and grabs things
  • Takes things that aren’t theirs
  • May have intense emotional responses

It is completely normal for children to behave restlessly and inattentively and this does not mean that your child has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. If you think your child’s behaviour is different from their peers then you should think about approaching your GP and school SENCO.
